Uh, what about if the thing we see as disorder is actually genius, unheard, or misunderstood? Well, here again, the numbers help us, and here's where being rigorous and quantitative actually really helps. If you look at disorders like autism and bipolar disorder and eating disorders, anorexia nervosa, for example. These, uh, you know, particularly bipolar and anorexia, these can be fatal, they can cause immense suffering, but they are heavily genetic, all three of these. And so you look at this severe disorders in many cases causing quite immense morbidity and mortality, and yet they are positively correlated at the population level with positive things. Can you say the the three again? Autism? Autism, anorexia, and bipolar disorder. Bipolar. Right. What's that book? Forgot the book name. But is intelligence a burden? Well, you know, people can get into trouble when they think they're smarter than they are. I will say that. I don't know. Sometimes, like, in the deepest meaning of that statement, I think ignorance is bliss. I'm a big fan of Prince Myshkin from The Idiot and Alyosha from Brother Karamazov. Optimism can be seen as naivete and and dumbness, but I think it's a it's a kind of deep intelligence. Maybe inability to reason sort of about the mechanics of the world, but instead kinda feel the world. And it seems like that's a one of the paths to happiness. There is. How much you think versus how much you feel. This comes up all the time. In medicine, we encounter this all the time when you're day after day, you encounter this, you know, the the the abyss of suffering from patients. How much do you let yourself feel? Or how much do you make it abstract and and objective and and try to make it clinical? "alt_titles": [],
   "description": "Georges St-Pierre admits he was scared - in a sport built around confidence, intimidation, and mental warfare\n\nDuring his first title fight, he was young and mentally unprepared to face a legend. Overwhelmed at the staredown, he went in trying not to lose instead of trying to win - then one crucial mistake left him caught in an armbar\n\nBy the rematch, the biggest change was not physical or technical. He walked in with confidence, faith, and belief in himself - and that made all the difference",
   "transcript": "I was scared. Most people were they're not honest. It's a very egotistic sport. They don't want to admit it because it's all about being an alpha and this and there's a lot of mental warfare in fighting. And, yeah, you try to intimidate your opponent or, you know, if you it's about about confidence. If in like like everything in life, if you can have this the skills that you want, you can be as good as you want, but if you don't have confidence, you can never reach your full potential. And fighting, especially in fighting, it's very important. I can tell you from my experience that there's my first title fight. I went in there fighting a legend. His name was Matthews at the time. I was very young. I was put there in a time that I wasn't ready. Not so much. I'm talking about physically, but mentally I wasn't ready. Because I was fighting that legend at that time. And even during the stare down, like the face off when the referee explained to you the rule like the in the before the fight started, I couldn't even look at him in the eyes. I was just overwhelmed. I couldn't believe I was there that I may finally made it to the top. So I went into the fight to not lose instead of going there to win. And I lost that fight. I made a crucial mistake. I got caught in an armbar. However, if you look at the rematch that I had maybe like a year after, completely destroyed him. The difference between my George when I fought him the first time and George when I fought him the second time, it's not so much physical or in terms of knowledge. Yes, I was a little bit bad. I was a little bit I had made some little upgrade, but it was more mental because I went there with confidence. And that's what made the difference. I went there going I went there believing in myself. I went there having faith in myself.",

   "alt_titles": [],
   "description": "Georges St-Pierre says confidence comes from smart, efficient preparation - not from waiting for fear to disappear\n\nEarly in my career, I thought experience would make the fear fade, but it never did - while other fighters seemed excited, I was afraid of being badly hurt or humiliated\n\nA sports psychologist urged me to call that feeling excitement, but that was not honest to what I felt, so I eventually made peace with being afraid\n\nThere is no courage without fear - I can admit I am afraid and still know that nothing will stop me from making the walk on Saturday night, and that honesty and commitment are more terrifying than claiming I am not afraid",
   "transcript": "Way you build up your confidence is with the preparation. You know there's a cliche, oh I train really hard, you work hard. It's good to work hard but work smart. It's more important. Being efficient. And if you know deep down inside that you have done everything that you can to be at your optimal form in terms of preparation. You can go out there with confidence. And confidence, remember, is not the absence of fear. Confidence is knowing that you have what you need in order to succeed. So the relation I have with fear never disappear. Even though in the beginning of my career, I thought that over time the fear will dissipate because I will gain more experience. I quickly realized that that was not going to be the case. So I decided early on in my career to seek the help of sport psychologists because I really thought I wasn't made for this. Because looking around all the other guys were, I don't know if they were faking it, but they were like, hey, I'm excited. I'm happy that I'm gonna kick his ass. I was afraid. And even the sports psychologist, I remember at that time, he was an American guy. He was very good. He was trying to brainwash me. He was like, George, stop saying you're afraid. You're not afraid. You're excited. And I was like, I don't know if it's because my English suck, but I don't understand. Excited doesn't really apply here. You know, I'm afraid, you know. I would be excited for other reason, but not to go fight in a cage, you know, on a Saturday, not knowing if I will be badly hurt, humiliated or winning the ultimate price. And then I made peace with it. I realized that there's no courage without fear. And I should not be afraid to admit that I'm afraid. Because for me, let's say I'm fighting you on Saturday night and I'm telling you, Hey man, I'm gonna break you. I'm not afraid of you. Or I'm gonna tell you, if I'm honest, I'm afraid, but there's nothing in the world that's gonna prevent me to make that walk on Saturday night. And I'm gonna kick your ass. Tell me which one is more terrifying. To me, it's the A second 100%. Yeah. 100%. The commitment. Me. Yeah. Being honest, being authentic. And",
